About Hotel Wellies
Hotel Wellies opened in July 2013 as a European-style hideaway in the healing mountain resort of Karuizawa, about an hour by train from Tokyo. We are here to help you create fun, friendly and relaxed memories.
Enjoy a cup of tea, a drink at the bar, and experience Britain in Japan. Chris, the British owner who came to Japan in 1984, will talk to you in English and slightly unusual Japanese. The hotel has been stylishly renovated over the last few years, with each room individually designed like a boutique hotel.
